We understand that starting school is a very big step. Therefore we aim to make the transition as smooth as possible for each child and their whānau.
We encourage the parents of all new entrants to pre-enrol their child prior to their fifth birthday, where possible. To enrol you can come in to the school office or online by clicking on the link above.
Parents you are invited to visit the school and new entrant classrooms with your child. Please contact the school office if you are wanting to visit so this can be passed onto the new entrant teacher to make a time.
As part of the transition process our new entrant teacher can also arrange to visit their ECE provider prior to your child beginning school. The purpose of this visit is to introduce herself, to get to know each other by forming connections and understand your aspirations for your child as they start their school journey. If you are interested in this visit please let Maritza in the office know and she will arrange this for you.
If you are looking to enrol or you have already enrolled your child in school to start at the beginning of next year our final school visits for the year will ideally occur before the end of Week 8.
You are welcome to accompany your child to the classroom for “school visits” before they officially start school. On your visit we ask if you could bring a small snack (i.e. a piece of fruit, crackers or a yoghurt), as we have three kai times during the day.
Please don’t hesitate to ring the school on 06 2787709 if you have any queries. . We would love to see you!
